Salt water demands the right material

Conditions on the west coast differ from the Mälaren region: salt water, stronger growth, rocky shores and clearer variation in water level. All our lifts are made from marine-grade aluminium that handles both salt and fresh water, and motor options come in stainless, watertight configurations.

Rocky docks and rock mounting

On rocky docks and quays the dock lift can be bolted directly to rock or mounted on a quay, often the simplest solution where piling is not possible. Where the bottom is even, a hydraulic lift resting hidden under water works well.

Varying water levels

Where water level varies significantly, models exist where lift height adapts so the boat rises high enough even at high water.

Growth and anti-fouling on the west coast

Growth is stronger in salt water, which makes storing the boat above the waterline especially valuable: no anti-fouling paint, less drag and lower fuel consumption.
